On February 18th, St. Paul’s is hosting a ‘Antiques Road Show’ type event where you can have any old thing (no people) assessed by an expert. With your $15 admission ticket, you can have one item assessed and if you wish, pay $5 each for additional items. Sorry, but we cannot provide storage or assistance in moving large items at this event so it’s best to bring small treasures.

Your ticket also includes a luncheon of sandwiches, sweets, tea and coffee.

Following our Lenten and Easter events, we will feature a Speaker Series: A Gardening Evening with Rob Howard on Thursday April 28 at 7:00pm in the Main Hall.

Get ready for the 2011 gardening season!Join us to hear the Hamilton Spectator’s Garden Writer, Rob Howard, talk about:

Nine Things He Learned in Other People’s Gardens

As a garden columnist for the Hamilton Spectator and Canadian Gardening Magazine, host of a call-in radio show, and founder of Open Garden Week, Rob has visited hundreds of beautiful gardens, here and in the British Isles. With humour, insight and some lovely photos, Rob will inspire creativity for the upcoming garden season.

Rob will start the evening with a planting demonstration – prepare for something quirky! – follow up with his illustrated talk, and end it with a question-and-answer discussion on all things gardening.

There will be door prizes and more. Go home with ideas, garden books and even new gardening tools.
